BLW recipe will never be offered to baby on its own at mealtimes. In fact, the wrap plays a completely different role in BLW : that of a carrier. Carriers are quite common in BLW , and when starting this journey with your baby, it's helpful to understand what they are. A carrier is a food that serves as a base for smooth textures or textures that are difficult to grasp with hands. Compotes, purees, spreads, or even hummus can be offered to baby on a carrier so they can discover these textures and flavors independently. Of course, the carrier can be homemade recipes like blinis, pancakes, or crepes, or store-bought preparations like rice cakes or rice pudding. Steamed vegetables can also be used as carriers; these are dipped into the smooth textures. These textures can then be offered to baby using a pre-filled spoon. When introducing utensils using the BLW , your baby will be able to bring the pre-filled spoon into their mouth on their own. To begin this technique, you should wait until your baby's fine motor skills are a little more developed.
