Introducing your baby to foods in their natural form and later in BLW is a great way to develop their palate with all these delicious flavors. Foods will be offered in different shapes and textures to awaken your baby's taste buds at every meal. Your baby's food preferences will develop throughout the weaning process, and you'll notice that some foods won't be accepted. How can you substitute an ingredient in a recipe , especially proteins? Does your baby dislike a certain fish or meat? Don't worry, the protein can easily be replaced with another! First of all, it's important to know that proteins are classified according to their "color": red and white meats, as well as oily and white fish. Within these different categories, proteins can be substituted for one another. For example, tuna can replace salmon, or chicken can replace pork, and so on. But that's not all! It is always possible to create a vegetarian recipe by simply removing the protein that baby does not like or replacing it with legumes.
