Before starting baby-led weaning, it's important to do your research. By looking for some information, you'll quickly discover the different ways to offer food to your baby, as well as which foods can be risky for your little one! What are risky foods ? These are foods that, when offered in their raw form, pose a choking hazard. Examples include small, round, and hard foods like cherry tomatoes; raw and hard foods like apples; flat and sticky foods like pancakes; and long foods like asparagus. How should you offer them to your baby? It would be a shame to miss out on many foods just because their raw form is considered "risky." A simple transformation of these foods will make them safe and allow you to offer them to your baby without any risk! Cherry tomatoes and asparagus should be cut lengthwise into quarters. These foods can also be incorporated into a delicious BLW to be offered to your baby safely. Apples can be used to make pancakes, muffins, cakes, doughnuts, etc.
