During the first year of baby's life, breast or child milk remains the main diet of your little one. Even if you start the food diversification led by the child with baby, milk will cover 80% of baby's nutritional needs. When we start to offer baby meals, a question comes in mind: can baby drink water? The answer is yes in small quantities and repeatedly during the meal. It is important to offer baby water for several reasons! Water helps intestinal transit, provides good oral hygiene and familiar baby with glasses, straws, cups, etc. But that's not all, water allows you to rinse baby's mouth so that it can discover the true flavor of food, if there are several elements on its plate. A small sip of water at the end of the meal allows you to rinse the mouth and check that it is very empty. The water will therefore be offered in small quantities from 6 months to baby and especially when baby is hydrated a little more in case of high heat, fever, liquid saddle, etc.
