The recipe:

Ingredients

– a banana

Instructions

From 6 months: half a banana with the peel

  1. Cut a banana in half without peeling it
  2. With your knife, cut the skin at one end

The remaining peel will allow your baby to easily grasp the banana without it slipping from their hands. To make it easy for your baby to eat, we recommend always choosing a ripe banana. Its peel should be bright yellow, possibly with some black spots starting to appear.

Warning: if it is too ripe, despite the remaining skin, it will crush in the baby's hand.

  2. Cut it in half
  3. Cut it in half lengthwise again

Is your baby getting better at bringing food to their mouth? This format will help them develop their grasping skills.

From 10 months: banana slices cut in half

  1. Peel your banana
  2. Cut it into slices and then in half

Baby-led weaning began a few months ago. Baby can now use the pincer grasp (pincer grasp). To continue their development and stimulate their curiosity, offer them increasingly smaller pieces of food: they'll gobble them up in one bite!

If you see that baby is still having trouble grabbing the slices without them slipping out of his hands, sprinkle your slices with coconut or almond powder (caution: allergen).
