Did you know? Fats are essential for your little one's healthy brain development. That's why it's important to offer them to your baby from the very beginning of baby-led weaning. Around 6 months of age, the daily fat intake is very low, equivalent to one or two teaspoons. How do you introduce fats to your baby? Fats should be introduced into your baby's diet after the food has been cooked. Cooked fats lose all their beneficial properties. Simply add a drizzle of oil to your baby's vegetables at the end of cooking, or a small pat of butter to a purée. Which fats should you choose for your little one? You can use organic, cold-pressed oils, as well as butter and cream. It's important to know that there are no good or bad fats. The key is to vary their use as much as possible on a daily basis when preparing the many BLW . Introduce your baby to olive, rapeseed, coconut, walnut, sesame oil, etc.
