Introducing a variety of foods helps develop a baby's palate and prevents food refusal later in life! The best way to expand this palate is to introduce your baby to as many different foods as possible in various forms before the age of three. Even if some foods, like vegetables, aren't appealing, it's important to introduce them to your little one. How can you encourage your baby to eat vegetables ? First, it's helpful to set a good example by eating vegetables in front of them at mealtimes. This way, they'll see that eating vegetables is perfectly normal and that they're not the only one doing it. Next, you can play with the presentation of your baby's plate by creating shapes, characters, adding color, and so on. Their plate will make them more eager to taste what's on it, and they'll eat the vegetables without too much difficulty. Finally, if your baby really doesn't want to eat vegetables, the only solution is to hide them in their meals. By preparing tasty BLW with vegetables, your baby won't even see the butternut squash on their plate, since it will be hidden inside a muffin, for example.
