The taste of chocolate is so tempting that it's sometimes hard to stop… Introducing your little one to the taste of chocolate can be very tempting, but is it really a good idea? Can babies eat chocolate? In BLW , it's strongly advised not to offer babies added sugars. Unfortunately, chocolate is made up of a large amount of sugar. And that's not all; it also contains nerve stimulants. Two nutrients to absolutely avoid in your little one's diet! Of course, it will be possible to introduce your baby to the taste of chocolate. It all starts gently around 8 to 12 months of age. BLW snack recipes can be enhanced with unsweetened cocoa powder, a flavor similar to chocolate. It's only around the age of 2 or even 3 that you can sparingly offer your little one 70% dark chocolate in homemade recipes. There are so many foods to introduce to your little one before chocolate.
