Panna Cotta Strawberry Basil

The panna cotta literally means "cooked cream". It is a dessert of Italian origin and more precisely coming from the Piedmont. Very easy to make, it requires only few ingredients: liquid cream, powdered sugar (optional), vanilla and gelatin leaves. This dessert that is both firm and melting stands in ramekins or glasses, and is traditionally accompanied by a strawberry, raspberry or blackcreming coulis. Delizioso!
