How to introduce orange to baby in BLW ?

The orange

Oranges are an excellent source of vitamin C and fiber. They also help boost your baby's immune system. It would be a shame to deprive them of this fruit!
From 6 months old, you can introduce your little one to oranges. We're sure their juicy flesh will be a big hit with your baby.

But how can oranges be presented safely?

The recipe:

Ingredients

  • an orange

Instructions

From 6 months: orange supreme

1. Cut off both ends of the orange.
2. Peel it completely with a sharp knife, following the curves
. 3. Slide your knife blade between each layer of membrane to remove the segments.
4. Repeat for each segment.

At first, it's difficult for a baby to chew and cut the membranes of citrus fruits with their gums. That's why we recommend preparing segments.

Want to change the texture? Did you know you can also make orange compote? You can present it on a carrier (food that serves as a base for spreads, compotes, purees, jams… like flower bread or pancakes).

Whether for a snack or breakfast, orange supremes are quick and easy, and the whole family loves them! Want to discover some great orange recipes ?
