Eggs are a super nutritious food to use in many BLW for homemade snacks and meals. They are a good source of protein, iron, healthy fats, minerals, and antioxidants. Before a baby turns four, it is strongly recommended to offer only well-cooked eggs! How do you get a baby to eat eggs? Eggs can be offered to babies from the start of baby-led weaning. Eggs, like meat, contain protein, so you should be careful about the amount of eggs offered to avoid overloading their still-developing kidneys, which are only able to digest a large quantity of protein. Introducing eggs into a baby's diet should be done carefully, as eggs are a known allergen. For three consecutive days, you can offer recipes containing eggs to see if your baby reacts to the allergen. To help your baby discover the true taste of eggs, you can offer them pieces of hard-boiled eggs cut into safe pieces. Then, baby will be able to rediscover the taste of egg in several BLW such as omelet strips, muffins, pancakes, etc.
