The summer sun is always a welcome relief after the rainy days of the colder seasons. Even though we look forward to these warmer temperatures every year, it's important to stay well-hydrated and make sure your baby does too. Your little one is more sensitive to high temperatures and loses a lot of water through perspiration throughout the day. To prevent dehydration, it's crucial to keep your baby well-hydrated when it's hot ! The best way to hydrate your baby is to offer their daily milk intake in small amounts several times a day. Milk is 85% water and will nourish your baby while also hydrating them. When introducing solid foods in a breast-feeding diet ( BLW , it's advisable to offer water to your baby to keep them hydrated on sunny days. But that's not all! You can also hydrate your baby by offering seasonal fruits and vegetables full of water, such as melon, watermelon, cucumber, tomato, and so on.
