Even though many people think otherwise, it's perfectly possible to offer your baby fruit purees during baby-led weaning (BLW)! You just need to be mindful of how you offer them. In BLW , purees, like other purees, are offered using a carrier or a pre-filled spoon . You no longer have to hand the spoon to your baby! With the pre-filled spoon, you can fill your baby's spoon and place it on their plate or highchair tray. Your baby will then be able to reach for it and eat their puree like a grown-up. The carrier allows you to spread the mango and apple puree on top so your baby can pick it up with their fingers. Carriers can be shaped like pancakes, blinis, wraps, or even flower bread. By offering the puree to your baby using a carrier or a pre-filled spoon, you'll let your little one discover the delicious taste of BLW independently. You can eat your snack at the same time as him.
