Baby-led weaning (BLW) is much more than simply introducing your baby to a variety of foods independently. It's also about spending quality time together as a family in the kitchen. Preparing BLW shouldn't be a chore, but rather a pleasant moment to share. Even if your baby is still young, it's possible to introduce this culinary activity at home. How do you go about cooking as a family? Before 12 months, your little one won't actively participate in preparing the week's meals. However, they will observe your every move in the kitchen and can explore food using all five senses. By giving your baby kitchen utensils, they will try to imitate you. It's only around the age of one that your baby will help you and become your mini-chef in the kitchen. At this point, your baby will be able to pour ingredients into the bowl, wash fruits and vegetables, count the ingredients, and so on. The older your little one gets, the more he or she will be able to help you and actively participate in preparing meals and snacks.
