During BLW , you'll spend many hours in the kitchen preparing delicious homemade meals. Whether you use batch cooking or not, it's important to know how to properly store baby food  ! The first storage method is refrigeration. Meals are kept at a low temperature for only a few days. Generally, prepared foods will keep for three days in the refrigerator. However, BLW can be kept for up to four or five days, while recipes made with breast milk only last two days. For longer storage of baby food, you can use the second method: freezing. This allows you to store baby food for a much longer period, between two and twelve months. Some preparations don't keep well in the refrigerator or freezer if they are eaten immediately. You can place muffins for baby's afternoon snack in an airtight container for a few days. For maximum preservation, store baby food in airtight containers with a lid. Remember to let baby food cool to room temperature before storing it in the refrigerator or freezer.
