Protein is an important element in our daily diet. During baby-led weaning BLW , protein can be offered to babies in small quantities to protect their still-developing kidneys. Fish provides a good source of vitamin D, minerals, and Omega-3 fatty acids—elements that promote healthy brain development and function! From the start of baby-led weaning, your little one can discover fish, but not just any kind! It's recommended to offer babies lean fish with low mercury content. Cod, salmon, sole, pollock, and whiting are perfect! Tuna, on the other hand, should be offered sparingly. How do you get your baby to eat fish ? After introducing cooked fish in strips, you can incorporate it into BLW ! Fish and carrot balls, fish and cauliflower croquettes, cod and butternut squash shepherd's pie, or even homemade fish sticks! You can surprise your baby's taste buds at every meal by varying the pleasures, flavors and textures!
