From birth until their first birthday, breast milk and/or formula will be your baby's primary source of nutrition. These two types of milk provide all the nutrients your baby's body needs daily for healthy growth and development. From 6 months onwards, you can embark on the exciting adventure of BLW Weaning) with your little one. How do you manage breast milk/formula and BLW simultaneously? Daily milk intake will continue, and solid foods will be introduced as a supplement. Throughout the weaning process, your baby will naturally decrease the amount of breast milk and/or formula consumed to make room for solid foods. At mealtimes, it's best to start with milk and then offer your baby small, BLW that can be eaten with their fingers. Furthermore, discovering new foods requires a lot of energy for babies, and they may eat small amounts. Therefore, daily milk intake will be sufficient to meet your little one's nutritional needs. To start BLW gently, you can prepare recipes based on breast/infant milk so that baby can rediscover this familiar taste in different forms.
