Baby-led weaning (BLW) will require you to prepare many BLW to awaken your little one's taste buds at every meal. However, cooking can become a fun activity to share as a family. Involving your little one in preparing their meals is possible, even from 6 months old. How do you go about cooking as a family? It all starts with choosing the recipes for your baby's menu. Your little one can participate by choosing meals using photos of the recipes. A simple task that will allow your baby to see what they will be eating. Before your baby's first birthday, it's true that they won't actively participate. Your little one will sit in their highchair next to you. They can observe you during meal preparation and discover food with their five senses. Before their first birthday, babies are in a phase of imitation. When preparing meals, don't hesitate to give them a wooden spoon and a bowl so they can reproduce the actions you make in the kitchen. It is only after the age of one that your little one will become a mini-chef and actively help you prepare their meals for the week.
