Carrot and parsnip rice balls

A complete meal in finger food form: carrot and parsnip rice balls. A simple and effective recipe that can be given to a baby when they are sick (gastroenteritis or stomach flu). Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 carrots
  • 1/2 parsnip
  • 30g of rice
  • Cumin

Instructions

  1. Steam the rice
  2. Meanwhile, peel and chop the parsnips and carrots
  3. Steam them
  4. When the vegetables are cooked (they should be very soft), purée them
  5. Season the puree with cumin and stir in the rice
  6. Let everything cool down
  7. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees
  8. Once your mixture is lukewarm, form balls with your hands
  9. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
  10. Bake everything for 15 minutes
