Flour is an essential ingredient when preparing homemade meals and snacks for your baby. Before you start cooking a recipe for your little one, it's helpful to know that there are several types of flour: cereal, soy, sunflower, infant, and legume. Generally speaking, flours are composed of vitamins, fiber, and minerals—perfect nutrients for the proper functioning of your baby's body. How do you get your baby to eat flour? From the very beginning of weaning, flour will be indispensable. Unlike other foods, flour shouldn't be offered on its own to allow your baby to discover its flavor. From 6 months old, you can make muffins, pancakes, energy balls, cakes, and cookies with flour. It's also possible to make porridge or gruel with milk and flour. Introducing flour into your baby's diet should be done carefully, as some flours contain gluten, an allergen. After this introduction, you can have fun discovering the different flavors, textures and colors of foods with many BLW preparation recipes.
