Bananas are often the first fruit offered to babies when they begin baby-led weaning (BLW). Do you know how to offer this fruit to your baby during BLW BLW Depending on your baby's development, bananas will be offered in different forms to ensure a safe size. From the start of baby-led weaning, your little one will discover bananas as we eat them. However, they will be cut in half, leaving the peel on one end. This will allow your baby to easily hold the banana without it slipping out of their hands. Around 8 months old, you can offer your baby half a banana cut into sticks. This format will develop your baby's grasping skills. And finally, around 10 months old, your baby will easily be able to eat banana slices. If the fruit slips out of your baby's hand, you can sprinkle the slices with shredded coconut or almond flour. Once baby has discovered bananas, they can rediscover this familiar taste in delicious BLW such as banana fritters!
