Baby-led weaning (BLW) is a wonderful adventure to experience with your baby from a very young age. You'll be able to watch your little one grow with each meal by offering them foods in different shapes and textures. Your baby's taste buds will be awakened at every meal! However, before embarking on this exciting adventure, it's important to know which foods pose a risk to your little one. Indeed, some foods in their raw form can be dangerous and can cause choking. Foods that pose a risk to babies include small, hard, round foods such as cherry tomatoes, grapes, nuts, etc. These foods can easily become lodged in a baby's trachea. However, it's perfectly possible to introduce your baby to the flavor of these foods on their own by offering them in a safe format. For example, cherry tomatoes should be cut in half or quarters, nuts mashed, etc. But that's not all! These foods can also enhance BLW which are perfect for babies.
