Before even starting baby-led weaning, it's important to find out what equipment you'll need to ensure everything goes smoothly. To allow the whole family to gather around a delicious homemade meal, you'll need a high chair for your little one. This chair shouldn't be chosen haphazardly; it must meet certain criteria to allow your baby to be in the correct position for starting BLW . First, the ideal chair should have a 90-degree seat so that your baby can sit upright. This position significantly reduces the risk of choking when introducing new foods. Second, the chair should have a tray to hold BLW and your baby's plate. You'll likely need to adjust the tray's height so your baby can rest their elbows on it. If your baby is too small and the tray isn't adjustable, you can raise them up with a cushion. Finally, the last criterion for a perfect chair is the footrest so that baby can rest their feet on it and have a safe position at mealtimes.
