Introducing an allergen to baby with a BLW recipe from 10 months onwards, such as lemon and salmon madeleines
From the very beginning of baby-led weaning, we introduce allergens to babies following the three-day rule. The earlier a baby is exposed to an allergenic food, the less likely they are to have an allergic reaction. Generally, we start with allergens commonly used in BLW , such as milk, eggs, or gluten in flour. However, BLW recipes 10 months and older may introduce new allergens. For example, lemon and salmon madeleines will introduce sesame to your baby. Always pay attention to the allergens listed in BLW recipes 10 months and older , as your little one may not have encountered them all yet.
