In the refrigerator
The first technique for conservation of baby meals is the fridge. This simple technique makes it possible to place baby meals at a low temperature. In the refrigerator, baby meals are better preserved in hermetic containers such as plastic boxes, glass jars, etc.
For a good preservation of baby meals, it is best to consume them before 3 days. Obviously, some meals such as vegetarian recipes will be able to stay in the fridge a little longer (4 to 5 days). However, breast milk recipes keep in a short period of time, 2 days.
Before placing baby meals in the fridge, it is important to leave them at room temperature to avoid breaking the cold chain. Meals cannot stay more than 2 hours at room temperature, don't forget to put them back in the fridge!
Freezer
The freezer can keep baby meals for a longer period: several (from 2 to 12 months). Each food has a different freezer duration: for example, fish -based preparations can be kept for 4 months while those based on chicken 6 months.
As with the fridge, it is necessary to wait until baby meals are at room temperature before putting them in the freezer and they must be in an airtight container to avoid the proliferation of bacteria.
PSST, we have a little advice for you! In order to prevent muffins or any other preparations from sticking between them, they must first freeze them separately and then group them in the same container!
