Baby doesn't have any teeth yet: can we start weaning?

This is a question that comes up very often and the answer is YES !

The teeth used for grinding are the molars and premolars. These erupt between 13 and 30 months of age. Some children may therefore have to wait until they are two and a half years old to start eating solid foods! The good news is that babies don't need teeth to chew . Their palate, tongue, and gums will do the job perfectly well. If you have any doubt, I suggest you put your finger in your baby's mouth to check!

Of course, we will offer baby food with a safe format, an appropriate texture and a size that will suit his development.

Teething

During teething, babies typically drool a lot, put their hands in their mouths, chew on their pacifiers, and are quite fussy. Very often, during this period , babies refuse their food and don't really want to eat . We don't force them and offer several small meals throughout the day. Babies will get their needs met with milk and will make up for it once the teething has passed.

To soothe him , you can offer him a teething ring that you have previously cooled in the refrigerator (we advise you to avoid the freezer, you risk frostbite in the baby's mouth).

Baby doesn't have any teeth yet, but you can start BLW Breast-Led Weaning). When a tooth comes in, baby won't be very comfortable. Adjust their diet accordingly. Also, pay close attention to baby's behavior when you introduce allergens.
