The holiday season has a special flavor. Homes fill up, tables are set, and schedules stretch out. We live a little later, a little more intensely, often surrounded by people. And when you have a baby discovering BLW feeding, this period can raise quite a few questions.

The holidays, a playground for exploration… not performance

Christmas and New Year's are not "perfect" moments. They are vibrant moments. And that's exactly what baby observes and experiences.

In BLW Baby-Led Weaning), the goal isn't for the baby to eat "properly," but for them to explore , observe , manipulate , and taste at their own pace. During the holidays, the baby can:

  • to be at the table longer,

  • eating at unusual hours,

  • to be stimulated by more noise, lights, faces.

And all of that… is normal.

BLW adapts to real-life situations, not to a fixed framework. Parties are part of real life.

Eat elsewhere, eat differently

Meals at family's , at friends' houses, sometimes at late hours… These situations can worry parents . Yet, they are also rich learning opportunities for babies.

Baby discovers:

  • new environments ,

  • different tables ,

  • other ways of eating,

  • food presented in a different way.

Even if he eats little, even if he touches more than he tastes, even if he observes a lot… he is learning. BLW is not measured by the quantity consumed, but by the experience lived.

The holidays are often emotionally charged. We want to do things right. For the baby too. But BLW doesn't demand perfection.
