BLW example meal

An example of a BLW meal to offer on a carrier: minty pea spread

At the beginning of baby-led weaning, your little one can be an active participant in their meal by enjoying delicious pancakes, muffins, cakes, meatballs, and more. But that's not all! You can also awaken your baby's taste buds with BLW Baby-Led Weaning) foods that have a smooth texture, such as purees, hummus, spreads, pesto, and so on. How can you offer smooth textures to your baby using BLW ? As you might expect, smooth textures are difficult to grasp with fingers. To introduce your baby to these tasty treats, it's highly recommended to use a carrier—in other words, a food that acts as a base. Blinis, pancakes, and vegetables are examples BLW foods that can be used as carriers at mealtimes.
