Baby food for 12-month-olds

Honey can be added to a baby's diet from 12 months onwards

Before the age of one, babies cannot eat honey. It is only after this age that a baby's immune system develops enough to defend itself against bacteria that can be found in honey. We clearly state this age limit in our recipes when honey can be added to ingredients. Take gingerbread, for example. Our recipe includes honey and is therefore only suitable for babies 12 months and older. Is gingerbread a tradition in your family during the holiday season? Follow our recipe adapted for a 12-month-old baby so they can enjoy it with you!
