Your blw menu

Baby has already started eating

If you have already started traditional weaning between 4 and 6 months of age, it is perfectly possible to progress and change the type of weaning later on. We will then be talking about mixed weaning .

Therefore, it is strongly advised to introduce pieces of food as if your baby were starting BLW weaning on day 1. And this applies regardless of their age! You will need to be attentive and observe your baby's reactions: their grasping technique, adjusting the size or texture of the food, reassuring them about chewing, encouraging them, etc. All of this will be new for your baby and will require a lot of time and energy to begin.

Here is a sample 2-week menu you can use when starting your baby's BLW weaning. The menu will include the introduction of certain allergens.

Feel free to adapt this menu to your baby's needs and abilities.

This is an example menu to start BLW weaning: you can change the order of introducing foods, introduce another allergen, offer another vegetable or fruit…

Day 6

Week 2

Starting purees at 4 months and wanting to start BLW at 6 months is perfectly possible. Or perhaps you're wondering how to combine breast milk/infant formula and BLW .
